''Nicotiana persica'' is a species of tobacco which is cultivated in Iran. It is the source of Persian Tobacco made in ITC monopoly. "Persian tobacco" is for example mentioned in the Mark Twain's book ''Innocents Abroad'', Chapter XXXIV. ''Nicotiana alata'' is also sometimes called Persian Tobacco; this is mainly an ornamental plant however, grown for its pretty flowers and rarely for narghila tobacco. ==External links==
